This guide explains how to customize the text for custom fields (e.g., Offer Type, Property Type) and their options, such as "For Sale," "For Rent," and "Apartments." It also covers how to change placeholders, like the "Keyword" field that displays "What are you looking for?" by default on your search form.
1. Changing Field Names
To change field names like "Offer Type" or "Property Type" on your search form:
You need to modify them globally. Go to MyHome Panel > Custom Fields and edit the fields you want to change.
Here, you can update the name and the slug (the part of the URL related to that field).
2. Translating Field Options
To change options for taxonomy fields, such as "For Sale" "For Rent"
or terms like "Apartments" and "Houses" on your search results page:
In wp-admin, hover over Listings and select the field options you want to modify.
For example, after clicking Offer Type, you'll see a list of terms that you can edit or add to.
3. Changing Search Placeholders
To change field placeholders on the search form open the page in Elementor and adjust the placeholder text for any fields.
You can also change sidebar field placeholders that use the Control: Select option.
